George G. “Butch” Schibner, 72, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother, of Coraopolis and Neville Island, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital after a routine test. Butch was born in Sewickley on May 13, 1948, one of four children to Raema J. Johnson Schibner of Neville Island and the late George F. Schibner. George grew up on Neville Island and graduated high school, class of 1966. He married his sweetheart, Dorine, on March 13, 1976. They made their home on Neville Island and were just shy of 45 years of marriage. They have 4 cherished children Dawn Schibner (Dwayne Henderson) of Coraopolis, David Schibner (Lori) of Beaver Falls, Ron Schibner (Jennifer) of Pittsburgh and Clint Schibner (Stephanie) of New Orleans, LA; 11 loving grandchildren fondly known as “Pap” and “Pappy” Zachary, Haylea (Joe), David Jr., Kora, Jade, Nalani, Ava, Gianna, Priya, Carson and Hannah; blessed with two great grandchildren Grayson and Easton; brother of Gail Lattanzio of Ft. Wayne, IN, Cindy Lawyer of Neville Island, and the late David L. Schibner. Butch enjoyed driving truck and seeing America, being a security guard, driving limo and playing golf. Butch was all about family, community, and country. He was a 51-year member of three volunteer Fire Departments- Coraopolis, Groveton, and Neville Island where he had served as President. He had a great sense of humor and was known to be a practical joker. He was fun to be around.
