Frederick William Council, III, age 80, a lifelong resident of Coraopolis, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Manor Care of Greentree. He was born in Sewickley on November 30, 1943, son of the late Frederick W. Council Jr. and Bernice (Hogue) Council. A diligent worker all of his life, he was superintendent of the Port Authority 1966-1985. He started his own business, C’s Place, 202 Broadway, Coraopolis, PA from 1985-2005. And he drove a school bus for STA when he was retired. Fred graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1963 where he excelled in basketball. Fred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. His life was always centered on his family and of course, he would enjoy a good cigar. He is survived by his children: Pamela Saunders (Daryl) and Frederick W. Council IV (Lanekka); his grandchildren Jordan Jeter, Darien Council, Jacari Council and Jalen Council; his great grandson Darien Council, Jr. and one more expected in December; his sister Carolyn Council-Villarreal; and his last surviving Aunt Marie Wright; along with a host of cousins, many friends and his special friend Debbie Jackson.
