Frank Greco Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 13‑year battle with COPD/emphysema.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. and Marie Greco.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Maureen Greco; his sister, Mary Cattani (Joseph) of Pittsburgh, PA; and his brother, Dave Greco (Faye) of Phoenix, AZ; children, Frank Greco Jr. (Maria) of Richmond, VA; Denise Warhola (Jay) of Pittsburgh, PA; and Chris Greco of California; his grandchildren, Paige Warhola of Pittsburgh, PA; Anthony Greco of Richmond, VA; and Stephanie Greco of Richmond, VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur baby Josie.
Born on March 16, 1949, Frank was raised by his parents Frank and Marie Greco. He was a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a degree in Business. Frank spent the majority of his professional life in sales within the construction industry, specializing in concrete sales. His leadership and dedication to the profession were evident through his service as President of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Frank was deeply committed to serving his community. He volunteered for more than 30 years with the Rosedale Fire Department, fulfilling multiple roles and answering countless calls in service to others. He also served as President of his homeowners’ association, where he was a positive and steady influence in the neighborhood he loved.
Frank and Maureen were high school sweethearts who were married on July 20, 1968. Together, they built a life centered on family, friendship, and hospitality. They shared a love of travel and made cherished annual trips to the beach with family and friends. Their home was often filled with lively conversation, laughter, and good‑natured banter that carried well into the evening.
Frank found joy in time spent with his children. Whether he was cheering them on from the sidelines at a sporting event, teaching them how to body surf in the ocean, or having conversations that would result in laughter and bonding. Through these shared experiences, Frank created space to listen, to guide, and to stay closely connected to what was happening in each other’s lives.
An avid outdoorsman, Frank especially loved hunting. This passion took on special meaning when he was able to share the experience and pass down his knowledge to his grandson, Anthony. Although often described as a “man’s man,” Frank also treasured the time he spent talking with his granddaughters, Paige and Stephanie, offering them guidance, encouragement, and thoughtful advice.
Frank Greco Sr. will be remembered for his dedication to family, commitment to service, strong work ethic, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. He leaves behind a legacy of love, leadership, and community that will endure in the lives of all who knew him.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, May 16, 2025, from 9 – 10 am where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Catherine of Sienna, 199 McGovern Boulevard, Crescent, PA 15046. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Inc., Moon Township.
