Fiore Munizza

Fiore Munizza, 89, a longtime resident of Sewickley passed away peacefully at home on Monday January 24th 2022.  Fiore was born September 26th , 1932, in Gizzeria Italy,  to the late Giovanni and Michalangela (Anselmo) Munizza.  Beloved husband for 61 years to Grazia (Torchia) Munizza; loving father of Nancy Hewitt (Thomas) of Kennedy township; Judy Terrivel ( Americo) of Hainesport NJ; and Frank Munizza of Leetsdale; cherished grandfather of Luke Hewitt, Raquel Hewitt, John Terrivel, and Olivia Terrivel;  loving brother of Antonio Munizza (Antonia) of Sewickley.  Also surviving are sister in laws Lida Munizza, Belinda Smith, Gina Torchia, Colleen Torchia, Angelina Torchia and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by brothers Domenico Munizza, Raffaele Munizza, Gennaro Munizza, Thomas Munizza, and sister Maria Munizza, as well as, brother in laws Guiseppe, Albert and Smeraldo Torchia, Bruno Sirianni and sister in-law Fiorina Munizza.  Fiore was a graduate of Sewickley High School in 1953 and employed by Bethlehem Steel until retirement.  Fiore was an avid golfer and sports fan, loved music, and longtime member for 60 years of the Sewickley YMCA.  Fiore was a member of St. James parish.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Divine Redeemer Parish, St. James Church, Sewickley at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor. Arrangements entrusted to R.D. Copeland, Ltd, Irvine Chapel, Sewickley.
