Eula Joann (Dodd) Wirth

Eula Joann (Dodd) Wirth, 89, was taken up to her heavenly home peacefully on September 11, 2023.

Eula was born in Walhalla, South Carolina, on July 27, 1934, to the late Sloan Malachi Dodd and Cornelia Elizabeth (Grant) Dodd.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Edgar Wirth.

Eula's proudest role was "Mother" to her cherished five children with her first husband, F. John Simuro: Marie Ann, Michael John, Elizabeth Jean, John Francis, and Sloan Mark.

While raising her children, Eula lived in Moon Township and Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. She later moved to Florida where she has lived the last 22 years.

Eula was a faithful member of the church and shared the good news often.

Eula is survived by four of her children: Michael Simuro of Coraopolis, P.A., Elizabeth Thomason of Port St. Lucie, F.L., John (Donna) Simuro of Greer, S.C., and Sloan Simuro of Coraopolis, P.A.

She has 3 grandchildren, Michael (Valerie) Soda, Roxanne Taylor, and Savanna (Neco) Smit, and 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Riley Soda.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Marie (Simuro) Soda; and son, Matthew Simuro, who passed away as an infant.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at Copeland Funeral Home (867 5th Ave. Coraopolis) with visitation starting at 11:00am and a service at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, Eula would have wanted her friends and family to show love to others and do a good deed for someone in remembrance of her.
