Essie Lee (Hinton) Thomas

Essie Lee Thomas; Age 90, originally from South Carolina and New Jersey but ended her journey in Pittsburgh since 1989. Beloved wife of the late Wardell Thomas. Cherished mother of Janice (late Leroy) Thompkins, Stanley Thomas, Maxine (Frank) Ciaston, Helene Thomas, the late Wendell Thomas, Adam Clayton Thomas, Jesse Thomas, Marge Thomas and Richard Thomas. Essie was preceded in death by her 9 siblings. Grandmother of Stephanie (Dino) Jones, Tammeka (Robert) Banks, Wendy (Keith) Reddix, Francesca Ciaston, Tanya (Stan) Bush, Falynne (Jermaine) Williams, Megan Thomas, Tarik Reynolds, Wychie Reynolds, Alfonso Thomas, Al-Haneef Thomas, Marvin (Sayoeut) Thomas, Shacore Thomas, Shanita Baskiville and Adam (Juanita) Thomas. Also survived by a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Friday, November 22nd from 9 - 11 AM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 AM followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
