Emma (Berardi) Lacenere

Emma (Berardi) Lacenere, Age 91, of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Tapestry Senior Living. She was born in Coraopolis, PA on September 24, 1930 to the late Basile and Mary (Mele) Berardi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Orazio "Ray" Lacenere. Cherished mother of Michelle (Jerry) Ketterer of Peachtree City, GA, Vicky (Bryan) Osan of Crescent, PA, Regina (Tommy) Dickson of Crescent, PA and the late Kathy Cepull. Sister of Alfred Berardi of Moon Twp, PA, and the late Gilda (Eugene) Pitaro, Josephine Berardi, Enrico (late Isabel) Berardi, Angelo (late Becky) Berardi and Arthur (late Millie) Berardi. Also survived by her 10 loving grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Emma and her husband Ray together owned and operated Embassy Cleaners on Fourth Avenue in Coraopolis until her retirement in 1980. They also owned Ray's Deli in Coraopolis 1952-1953. She belonged to the Sons of Italy, a lifetime member of VFW 402 and also the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Emma enjoyed playing bingo and baking cookies. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 - 8 PM at Copeland's Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where a blessing service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family suggests donations in her name to Disabled American Veterans.
