Emily McDaniel

McDaniel, Emily (Tomsey); Age 104, formerly of the Groveton section of Robinson Twp, on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Dean McDaniel. Loving mother of Martin (Joanne) McDaniel, David (Bettye) McDaniel, Mark (Paula) Mc Daniel and Paul (Carolyn) McDaniel. Sister of the late Mary Shernik. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Emily was a 1935 Robinson High School Graduate. She was the Post-Master in Groveton and a distribution clerk at the Coraopolis Post-Office. Friends and family will be received at R. D. Copeland, Ltd. - Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley on Sunday from 3 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Coraopolis on Monday at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caregivers from Gateway Hospice and Dr. Chris Gerhlein for their support and loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the St. Vincent DePaul Society c/o Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, One Parish Place, Moon Twp, PA 15108.
