Edward H. Hess, 79, of Robinson Township, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Heritage Valley Sewickley. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 5, 1946, son of the late Richard and Margaret (White) Hess. Beloved husband of 48 years of Ysela Escala-Hess (Maria); loving father of Edward (Lauren) Hess and Lewis Hess, and the late Brenda Bryner; dear grandfather of Charlie Judge, Courtney and James Perhach, Emma Bryner, Leah, Avaya, Joe, Nolan and Ava Grace Hess; great grandfather of Adalynn, Magnolia Perhach, Landon Barnhill and Arabella George; brother of Jean Dudash, Arlene Holloway, Susan Angelucci. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Also survived by dear nieces and nephews. Ed was a resident of Robinson Township for 47 years and a proud veteran of over 20 years of the U. S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves, retiring at the rank of TSGT and worked for the Port Authority. He was known for his dry sense of humor, always having the one liner ready at a moments notice. He was a car enthusiast, favoring the older model Cadillacs, watching a good old western movie and having his morning coffee at McDonald’s. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church), 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 10:30 am. (Everyone please meet at church). Committal services with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Monday, February 17, 2025. Please arrive by 8:45 am.
