Donnie C. Parks

Donnie C. Parks, 86, a Moon Township resident since 1963, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Robertsdale, PA on January 6, 1935, one of eight to the late Harry F. and Veta (Ramsey) Parks. Beloved husband for 63 years to Wanda (Swope) Parks; loving father of Bryan Parks (Lisa) and Dawn Marie Lawrence (Brad); cherished grandfather of Melissa Hornyak; great grandfather of Isabella; brother of Estaline Darland and the late Velma Decker, Eva Swope, Winifred Ramber, Maxine Hoover, Bernard Parks and Dean Parks; also, many loving nieces and nephews; loving son-in-law of the late Iva Swope. Donnie proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959 in Germany. Donnie was genuine, well-liked, and good hearted. He adored his wife and loved his family beyond measure. Donnie had played football in high school as well as loved to watch football. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where the service will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family asks donations in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
