Donald W. Bacik

Donald W. Bacik (89), passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with his family by his side.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he resided in Syracuse, NY for many years. He led an exciting life with his wife and four children. He lived in Germany, with his family while working with General Electric. Eventually his career with Genigraphics resulted in extensive travel around the world as an international salesman. 

He enjoyed horses, woodworking and boating on Oneida Lake.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Antoinette (Toni) and his youngest son Garrett.

He is survived by three remaining children, Dawn Marie, Marietta and Andrew, along with seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his sister Jean.

After the passing of his wife and son, he returned to Pittsburgh, to live with his daughter and son-in-law. Don enjoyed their fish pond, flower garden and the wide variety of birds that came to the feeders daily.

His grandchildren enjoyed many adventures with him.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

As Donald begins his journey with Christ, may he drift peacefully into the sunset, with fair winds, calm seas, and a lifetime of cherished memories filling his sails.
