Dolores "Dee" (Manna) Silvestri

Dolores “Dee” (Manna) Silvestri, age 92 of Moon Twp. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Nov. 13, 2024.

Dolores will be greatly missed by her children Michael (Susan) Silvestri, Rosanna Silvestri Coccoli (with whom she resided), her grandchildren Michelle Silvestri (Michael George),  Louis Coccoli III,  great grandchildren Marissa & Maya George. She loved all her nieces and nephews, Angela (Bobby) Harris, Anthony ((Sandy) Pompeo, Janet (George) Churchfield, Donna (Robert) Kenney, Jim (Teri) Manna, Vince (Mary Ann) Manna, Joe (Kathy) Manna, & Jonathon (Amy) Manna, sister in laws, Wanda & Helen Manna, many cousins, Godchildren, friends and great grand dog “Luigi”.

A sincere thank you to her special caregivers Taunya & Dominae, Julie & Rosanne who took great care of her through her Alzheimer journey.  

Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband Attilio Silvestri, her parents Cesidio & Angeline (Lacenere) Manna, brothers Vincent Manna & Mario (Claudia) Manna, in laws Michele & Rosa (Larocca) Silvestri, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Frank & Caroline Pompeo, and nephew Marco Pompeo.

Dolores enjoyed working as a cashier & office mngr. for the A & P stores, working for her daughter at the Pitt. Airport, and as a cafeteria worker for Moon Schools. She loved being Nonni and babysitter to her grandchildren Michelle & Louis, they were the highlight of her life.  “Big Dee” as some of her friends (Dominae) called her loved going to Penguin games, the gym with friends Sally (her travel buddy) and Judy, she also loved playing Bunco with her Bunco Babes and playing the lottery!!  So here you go 1113, 650

We would like to thank the staff at the Villa St. Joseph (Fontbonne memory care) for all they did to accommodate Dolores when nearing the end of her life.

Visitation will be at R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Inc, 981 Brodhead Rd, Moon Twp on Monday, November 18th from 2 - 4 & 6 – 8. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 19th at 9:30 am followed by mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (St. Margaret Mary’s). Donations can be made in Dolores’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
