Dolores C. Verduce, age 93, of Ohio Township passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. She was born in Peckville, PA, the daughter of the late Natalie and Orlando Marovelli. Dolores was a lifelong learner, first arriving in Pittsburgh with a full academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh in Chemistry, which was a remarkable feat for a woman in the 1940's. Dolores spent her professional career as an electronics specialist for Daystrom/Weston and Cross Electronics before retiring in the mid 1990's. Besides her professional career, she excelled at being a mother and mentor as a Sunday school teacher, a Cub Scout leader, and a Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed the arts as a ceramist, potter, and painter. Dolores married John Verduce on October 21, 1950, and together they had two children, John, Jr., and Valerie. She is survived by her beloved husband of 74 years, John Verduce, her loving children, John (Candace) Verduce, Jr. and Valerie M. Verduce (Cameron Crandall), her brothers, Robert and Raymond Marovelli, her dear grandchildren, Daniel Christopher (Lorena), Anthony Joseph (Samantha) , Julian V. Vissenberg and Honor V. Crandall and her great-grandchildren, Bria, Logan, Bryce and Zoey Verduce. Friends are invited to gather with the family on Thursday, August 1st from 2 - 4 pm at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township to celebrate Dolores' life together.
