Dolores E. Morrison, 92, a life-long resident of Crescent Township, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 13, 2021. Dolores was born in Sewickley on September 18, 1928, the last surviving of four children to the late Blaine E. and Leona G. (Harvey) Morrison. Dolores was a polio survivor with a tenacious personality. She was an industrious worker all of her life, working in tin mill at J & L Aliquippa and assembling circuit breakers for Westinghouse for 27 years, retiring 1992. Dolores was a member of Riverdale and Ohio United Presbyterian Church. She was a bowler, in a league for over 50 years. She was also a member of TOPS for 35 years, the Thursday night dinner crew and enjoyed swimming. Dolores was fondly called by her friends, “Coke” and her family “DoDo.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, a sister-in-law and two nephews: Blane H. Morrison (wife Joan), Kenneth Morris and Roger Morrison, nephews Craig and Roger. Two sisters-in-law Peggy and Margie Morrison survive her. She greatly spoiled her seven nieces and nephews: Robert, Kathy, Susan, Lorie, Keith, Blaine, and Molly; also, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Coke also had a pleather of friends from her church family to her memberships; and considered as family, “the sister she never had”, Shirley LaRocca and beloved Nonna to Scott LaRocca (Rachel Navarro). Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 6-8 and Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. Officiating will be Tiffany Battaglini. Burial will follow at Coraopolis Cemetery.
