Dena H. (Santucci) Cercone

Dena (Santucci) Cercone, age 100 of Coraopolis, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. Born on September 3, 1925, she was the beloved daughter of the late Philomena and Liborio Santucci of Coraopolis.

She was reunited in heaven with her husband of 65 years, Fred Cercone, Jr., her son Michael Cercone, and her siblings Paula Andrews, Mary Gawlik, Olga Lacenere, and Joe “Red” Santucci.

Dena is survived by her loving son Fred Cercone III (Ann) her brother Jim Santucci (Maria) her grandchildren Jason Cercone and Pam Veze (Brian) and her cherished great-granddaughters Grace, Andie, and Layla. She also, leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Dena was a dedicated employee for Roffler/ Framesi in Coraopolis, for 25 years. Cooking was her love language, and her Holiday & Family dinners became a treasured tradition that will always be remembered by her family & friends. Dena valued her family, and her legacy of love, devotion, and togetherness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A special thanks goes out to the staff of St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars, PA, especially to Sandie Fugent, her nurse, Molly Watson, her CNA, Ella Heathcote, her Restorative Aide, Melissa Augustine,  her housekeeper, Makayla, Activities Director, & Cheryl Cooney, former Social Director.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Copeland’s Funeral Home in Moon Township on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Margaret Mary’s Church at 10am interment at Resurrection Cemetery  following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s as Dena loved children.
