Dawn Marie (Clarke) Henkemeyer

Dawn Marie Henkemeyer, age 94, passed on November 21, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Henkemeyer, and her brother, Buhl Clarke (the late Doris Clarke). She is survived by her sister, Beatrice Cohen (the late Lou Cohen); her children, Linda, Jim (Mary), Jeff (Donna), Joe (the late Lori Henkemeyer) and Lori Henkemeyer-Collura (Mike). Her grandchildren Kristen (Donovan), Joshua Henkemeyer (Jade), and Erika Muller. Dawn will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great-grandmother to Kristen and Donovan's children and would have been again soon with the birth of Josh and Jade's son.

Her passion for aviation began in her teens when she flew out of Chadderton Airport in Sharon, PA. She went on to enjoy a long career with several airlines, carrying her love of flying throughout her life. At heart, Dawn was always a farm girl. She had a deep affection for animals-especially horses-and was an accomplished rider.

Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Rd, Moon Twp on Monday, December 1st from 4 - 8 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2nd at 9:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church at 10am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Donations can be made to Allegheny Hospice Network (AHN) in lieu of flowers.
