David L. Ross

David L. Ross, 63, most recently of Moon Township, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born in Hempstead, NY on December 31, 1961, to the late Hobart and Renee (Wander) Ross. He married the love of his life Barbara A. Capponi on September 22, 1984. They had 40 wonderful years of marriage until she passed on May 17, 2024. He was the beloved father of Joshua Ross (Shoshana) and Sarah Ross (Teresa); adored grandfather of Aviva; brother of Jodi (Ross) Nager (Steve) and Brad Ross; uncle of BethEl Nager, Peter Capponi IV, and Kayla Goewey (Capponi).

David was raised in Scottsdale, AZ, and was a 1980 graduate of Saguaro High School. He pursued his education at Arizona State University before answering the call to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1984. A lifelong businessman, David built a remarkable career in the bowling industry for more than 40 years. Most recently, he was the proud owner of two successful local businesses, Crafton Ingram Lanes and the Farmers Insurance – David Ross Agency.

David’s presence was larger than life, and his impact reached far beyond the businesses he built. He was a pillar of his community—hardworking, generous, and endlessly devoted to his family. His kindness, integrity, and unwavering support for those he loved will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

 Memorial visitation Tuesday 5 - 8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. Burial with Military Honors will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. The family is accepting flowers or if you would like to donate, the family suggests donations to Animal Friends.
