David J. Cooper

David J. Cooper, age 85, of Sewickley, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh on February 5, 1940, he was the son of the late Frederic and Ruth (Stalder) Cooper.

He was the beloved husband of the late Veda (Whittingham) Cooper; loving father of David Benjamin (Claire) Cooper; and brother of Dr. James (Margaret) Cooper and the late William (Susan) Cooper.

David was a 1958 graduate of Beaver High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from West Liberty College and pursued graduate studies in marketing and business at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and at Columbia University. He enjoyed a distinguished 35-year career with the 3M Company in sales, sales management, and international marketing, retiring in 2000. His work afforded him and his family the opportunity to reside in multiple cities across the United States as well as in Brussels, Belgium.

A 32nd Degree Mason, David was a devoted member for more than 57 years of Lodge No. 630, Doric Syria Shriners, Valley of Pittsburgh Consistory.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Ltd.
