Constance Elizabeth Falls
October 30, 1923 - March 29, 2024
Age 100, of Moon Township passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford on March 29, 2024.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Robert and siblings John, Mary, Pamela and Victor and is survived by her daughter Jennifer and son Robin and his wife Lauren.
Born in England, Elizabeth served with the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRENS) during World War II in Ceylon now known Sri Lanka and on the coast of Dover in the UK. After the war, she met her husband Robert at the National Physical Laboratory and they eventually emigrated to the US during the 1950’s.
During the 1960’s, Elizabeth rejoined the workforce with Allegheny Airlines where she worked in reservations as the airline grew into US Air and eventually US Airways. This enabled her to embrace her love of travel and jet off with family and friends around the world. One of her regrets would have been being too old to compete on the reality show “the Amazing Race”.
Elizabeth true to her English heritage loved to go on country walks and her daily cups of tea. Gifted athletically, she featured on many a field hockey team and was a devoted follower of tennis, particularly Wimbledon. Her lifelong devotion to crossword puzzles kept her mind sharp to be a very competitive scrabble player and she enjoyed many games of bridge if she could find worthy partners.
