Connie Wollenweber Obituary

Connie Lee (Christopher) Wollenweber, age 58, passed peacefully at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday, July 9th after multiple years of a complicated courageous battle with cancers. She is survived by her husband Markus of Moon Twp, PA.. Born in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, raised in the South Side, she is the daughter of the late George H. & the late Bonnie Christopher. Also, preceded in death by brother George E. Christopher. Connie's surviving immediate family include sisters Lorraine Christopher of Mercer, PA, Joann Christopher of Woodsfield, OH, Diann Lovejoy (Pat) of Kingston, OH, brother Michael Christopher of Mercer, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to family, Connie was a magnet attracting friends everywhere she went ... collecting an eclectic flurry of friends that adored her and remained by her side once they met her.
Connie's optimism, strength, and dignity, especially in the last years of her illness, were beyond reproach and such an inspiration. Connie and her family are deeply indebted to her neighbors, longtime friends, and many of her care team for their continuous care, support, and kindness. She had the patience that, long ago, gave her the halo and wings of an angel!
As a graduate of Johnson & Wales University of Providence, RI, she began a career in event management at Conventures, Inc., followed by a tenure at Bayside Exposition Center. Nonetheless, her esteemed accomplishment is that of the past 28 years as an Estate Administrator for BNY Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh, PA..
Our dearest Connie will be remembered for her style, grace, and steadfast devotion to her family and her legion of friends. She has lived her life fully as a loving daughter, wife, sister, and friend. We know that Connie will remain treasured by all who knew her. We ask that you hold dearly that she remained thankful to the end, having had each of you in her life. Arrangements were entrusted to R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Coraopolis.
