Cleo Martin

Cleo Martin, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025.  Cleo was born September 24, 1930 in Pittsburgh PA.  Cleo grew up in South Side and Brookline before settling down in Crescent (Glenwillard) PA.  Cleo was a loving mother of Gary (Jean) Martin, Linda (Jack) Martin Detz and Jeffrey Martin.  Cleo was also grandmother to Stephanie Tekin, Jessica Woods Marchionda, Jacob Woods, Jeremy Martin, Anthony Martin, Timothy Martin and Alexandra Martin Rudock.  Cleo was also great grandmother to Olivia, Caleb, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Adam, Samantha, Brady, Chase, Karina and Corbin.  Cleo is survived by her brothers David (Jackie) DeCarlo of Pittsburgh and Raymond (Linda) DeCarlo of Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her Parents, Jennie and Anthony DeCarlo, sisters Barbara DeCarlo and Charlotte (Raymond) Fagan, brother Richard (Helen) DeCarlo and granddaughter Jessica Woods Marchionda.

Cleo, a former kindergarten teacher and floral designer, was active in the local community in such groups as Civic Club, Ladies Auxiliary, Girls Club and Scouts.  She was a past member of the Riverdale Presbyterian Church and currently the Red Hat Society. Cleo was an avid sports fan faithfully rooting for Steelers and Pitt Football. She was a huge Pirate fan, attending spring training camp on a regular basis.  Cleo was an extraordinary cook and baker too…often surprising her Grandchildren with boxes of homemade cookies.  Throughout her life, she was kind and generous, always happy to help those in need.

Friends will be received Thursday August 28 from 3-9pm at Copeland Funeral Home at 981 Brodhead Road in Moon Township.  A Funeral Prayer will be held on Friday, August 29 at the funeral home at 10 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am at Riverdale Presbyterian Church, 1555 Brodhead Road Moon Township.
