Clarissa Cochran, known by all as Chrissy, always had a smile, loved life, advocate for her housemates, passed away peacefully at her home in Aliquippa on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the age of 79. Chrissy was born in Connellsville on May 29, 1942, one of six children to the late George and Margaret (Bailey) Cochran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Susan Cochran. Chrissy made her home for the last 20 years at Verland and previously Passavant Home. Chrissy gave and received love graciously. Chrissy always had a sunny disposition, loved watching I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith Show and the Brady Bunch. She took a trip to Disney and since has had a fondness for Mickey Mouse. She was a collector of postcards, most which were sent by her sister Ann. Raised Methodist, she was welcomed at Impact Christian Church, Moon Township. Chrissy was the well-loved sister of Mary Sweeney of Mt. Lebanon, Margaret Norton of Newtown Square, Ann Preston of San Francisco, and Henry Cochran of Dawson; 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews; and best friend of Carol for 20 years. Visitation Tuesday 1 PM until time of service 2 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. In lieu of flowers, and in gratitude for their special care over the years, the family suggests donations in her name to Verland CLA, 212 Iris Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143
