Clara Minutte (Lee) Shackelford

Clara Minutte Shackelford age 84 of Coraopolis went to the Lord in her home with her family at her side April 18, 2019. Born in Aliquippa April 11, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Minutte Mitchell and Luther Lee. Clara was a 1942 graduate of Aliquippa High School, graduated from Hardy Bible School, a member of Whosoever Wills Church, where she was the Chaplain of the Women’s Christian Ministries also a Counselor for them, a Sunday School Teacher at the Church she also worked for the Rape Crisis Center. Clara was a beacon of light for the men and women of the community and enjoyed spending time with her children. She is survived by her children; Marsha Ellis, Joy Shackelford, Lee (Natasha) Shackelford, Richard Shackelford, Timothy (Ethel) Shackelford, her grandchildren; Richard, Wayne, Samuel, Solomon, Renee, Johnie, Vaughn, Benjamin, Victoria, Kenya,(Timothy), Chris, Monica, Joshua, Jennifer, Imani, Zoe, Jerimiah, Ewari, Nia, Chad, Sasha, Desiree and Christian many great grandchildren, a sister; Marva (David) Porter and a brother; Joseph (Marlene) Lee, also a host of nieces & nephews and many friends. Clara was also predeceased by her husband Wayne G. Shackelford on April 4, 1995, 2 sons; the late Wayne G. Jr and the late Keith Shackelford also by 6 brothers; Luther, Rudolph, Percy, Ben, Howard and William Lee. Friends will be received Tues 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave. Wednesday Mrs. Shackelford will lie in state at the Whosoever Wills Church, 878 First Ave. Coraopolis Pa from 11AM till 1:00PM time of Service.
