Christy Nicole Miles, a wonderful, caring soul, was brought into this world on January 4th, 1979, by Joseph Michael Miles, Sr. and Marcella Mary Edwards. She was born and raised in the Pittsburgh, PA area, and resided in its surroundings for the majority of her life.
A lot can be said about Christy; she was lovable, charming, charismatic, funny, energetic, clumsy, friendly, silly—a joyful person all around. She loved to party, dance, joke, and sing- everyone knew when Christy was around-she was the life of the party. She loved taking pictures and videos of every occasion. No person was a stranger to her; she would befriend any one, any where, any time. She was a loving, devoted mother of three; she would do anything for her children, and spoiled them as much as she possibly could. She taught them to have kind hearts and a sense of humor. She loved her children more than anything in the world.
Christy was a hard worker. She loved to serve people and to cook. She was famous for her deviled eggs, and Sweet Potato Pie, a recipe she had inherited and lovingly made, from our dear Nana. The service industry was her passion, Eat’n Park in particular. She was always helpful and ready to lend a hand.
Christy fought her battle with cancer with unwavering courage and grace, and was called home by our Heavenly Father on July 29, 2025. Christy’s life, while cut short too soon, was filled with love and hope. Though her body is no longer with us, her spirit will live on forever in our hearts. Her legacy of humor and perseverance will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. May we learn to live our lives with the constant optimism that Christy strived to live with.
She was preceded in her passing by her parents, who welcomed her into heavenly peace and is survived by her children Christopher M. Miles, Carolyn M. McConnell, and Chance J. McConnell, sister Michelle J. Walker and brother Joseph M. Miles, Jr., nieces and nephews, fiancé William Goysich, and many other family members and dear friends.
