Carrie Lee (Young) Evans

Carrie Lee Evans, 79, of Coraopolis, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at UPMC Mercy. Carrie, born on January 29, 1946, in Talladega, AL, and was second born daughter to the large family of nine to the late John and Thelma (Fuller) Young. Beloved mother of Pamela (Daryl) Saunders and Frederick (Lanekka) W. Council, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Jordan Jeter, Darien Council, Jacari Council, and Halen Council; great grandmother of Darien Council, Jr. and Seilym Council; sister of  Larry Young, LaVerne Young, Lucille Young, Kevin Young, and the late Robert Young, John Young, Jeanetta Young, and  Craig Young. Carrie was a 1963 graduate of McKees Rocks High School. For over 20 + years, she worked at Cash Market. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, and was a wiz at crossword and jigsaw puzzles. The love of her life was her family. Visitation Thursday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery.
