Carol A. (Faulkner) Williams, age 70, departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Sewickley Valley Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born April 26, 1951, in Huntingdon, PA to the late William and Mattie Faulkner.
Carol graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1969. She continued her education and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting. Carol worked various jobs and retired for the Program for Female Offenders.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and devoted energy as a caregiver to family members and friends. Carol was such a caring and loving person and was called “Mom”, “Nanny” or “Aunt” to those who knew her, even if they weren’t related to her. Her smile lit up a room and her style and grace followed effortlessly. She was only a phone call away with a listening ear and gave advice without being judgmental. Even though her mouth could be off the chain sometimes, you knew whatever came out of it was the truth.
She loved the Lord and was an active member of Coraopolis Abundant Life Ministry (CALM) C.O.G.I.C where she was on the Mother’s Board, the President of the Usher Board and member the State ad District Usher Boards, and part of Helping Hands Committee. Because she survived breast cancer, Carol became involved in outreach and was member of the Bridge Outreach Ministry (a Breast Cancer Advocacy Group), and she was the President of a Cancer Support Group that she established.
Carol is survived by her husband, David Williams; 2 daughters and their spouses, Tammeka and Robert Banks, and Wendy and Keith Reddix; 1step-daughter, Tamika Williams; 5 grandchildren DJ, DeJaun, Keirra, Dajanae, and Kionna; 6 great-grandchildren whom she adored Kaiden, Kaysh, Lenyx, Denym, Montay, and Nevaeh; 5 siblings Harold (Beth) Williams, Floyd (Sally) Faulkner, Joe (Linda) Faulkner, Michael Faulkner and Cynthia Faulkner and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, in-laws, and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; James Williams, Oscar (Petey) Faulkner, Jean Faulkner, George (Trot) Faulkner, Edward Faulkner, and Kenneth (Hussell) Faulkner
A visitation will be at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis, on Saturday, January 29th 11am – 3 pm with funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Pastor Elder Herbert Tillman will officiate.
