Carol Ann Welsh (82) beloved and devoted wife and mother passed away peacefully with her husband Regis Welsh lovingly by her side. After a long struggle with dementia, she felt the angels call her home on the morning of Monday, May 27th, 2024.
Carol was born December 20th, 1941 in Ohio Township, Pennsylvania. She grew up with her parents Margaret and Joseph Hack and her two brothers Jerry and Bobby. She attended Avonworth High School and graduated in the class of 1959.
Carol went on to meet the true love of her life, Regis Welsh, on a family trip to Tionesta Lake. They fell in love and married June 10th, 1961 and went on to be a committed married couple for nearly 63 years. Carol helped put Regis through dental school by working as a secretary at Gulf Oil Corporation. Later on, she would work as his Dental Assistant and Office Manager.
She was an active member of the Sewickley Hunt Club and loved spending time in her barn with her hunt horses. Those horses were even once featured in an article in the Sewickley Herald – and that brought her even more joy.
Her love of travel and meeting new people was evident as she opened her family home to countless Exchange students and Camp Counselors that came through Quaker Valley Senior High School and the local Sewickley YMCA.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Regis Welsh (86), her first born daughter Sharon Welsh and her family, her second daughter, Kristine “Krissy" Miller and her family, and her third child, Daniel Regis Welsh and his family. She is also survived by her younger brother Jerry.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 31st at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Moon Township. She will be buried at Holy Souls Cemetery. All family & friends are welcome.
