Carol Heuber

Carol Heuber, a beloved women, renowned for her adventurous spirit, passed away on May 3, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on January 3, 1934, Carol's legacy is marked by her profound dedication to both her profession and her passions.
Carol earned her master's degree in psychology from Mt. Mercy College, now Carlow College, and dedicated her entire career to mental health. Her commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of the mind left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carol's zest for life knew no bounds. She found solace and exhilaration in the skies, earning her wings as a private pilot. Flying extensively up and down the East Coast, she embraced the freedom of the open skies with unwavering enthusiasm.
A true adventurer at heart, Carol's love for exploration extended beneath the waves as an avid scuba diver since the 1960s. From the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky, she pursued her passions with boundless courage and curiosity.
Throughout her lifetime, Carol nurtured a deep connection with animals, embodying compassion and care in every interaction. She owned two planes at separate times and scuba dived in destinations across the globe. Her home was a sanctuary for a menagerie of creatures, from multiple cats and beloved dogs like Terry, Bunny, and Willow, to two large goats and even pet rabbits. Her love for animals extended beyond her own companions, spending countless hours outdoors feeding and caring for wildlife.
In every facet of her life, Carol Heuber was unmistakably one of a kind. Her legacy in mental health, a fearless adventurer, and a compassionate advocate for animals will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, courage, and boundless curiosity that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Carol's passing is mourned by her loving family, including her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of compassion, curiosity, and courage. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Michael Heuber, her mother, Mildred Depp, and her sister, Patricia Ann Gretchen Kissel.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. James Catholic Church, Sewickley, PA at 10:30 am. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Ltd. - Irvine Chapel, Sewickley, PA
