Carol (Kalman) Gruber

Carol Kalman Gruber; Age 76 passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Concordia Of Franklin Park. Carol was born in Sewickley on July 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Heiser) Kalman.  Carol was exceptionally outgoing and social. She had a wicked sense of humor and always had a joke or story to tell. She grew up in Moon Township, PA and moved first to Connecticut and then to Hilton Head Island, SC where she and her then husband Jerry owned the Cheese Nook, a specialty cheese shop with gourmet foods and fresh handmade dips. Carol most enjoyed her time living on Hilton Head Island – working at the Cheese Nook, enjoying the cool sea breeze, playing golf and swimming in the ocean. She enjoyed traveling in her RV and boating along with her husband and her cats. Carol moved back to PA in 2018 residing at Concordia of Franklin Park. Carol always had a positive outlook on life even while facing her many life challenges. Carol also had a special place in her heart for animals. Friends and family are invited for a memorial visitation at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 5th Avenue, Coraopolis on Sunday, March 1st from 4 – 5 pm.
