Carl S. Puglia

Carl S. Puglia, 81 of Sewickley passed on Tuesday October 30, 2018. Born May 29, 1937 in Graniti, Sicily a son of the late Luigi and Maria Nuciforo Puglia; Beloved husband of 54 years to Janet (Zimmerman) Puglia; father of Michael (Jean) Puglia of Beaver Falls and Carole (Dave) Peura of Lewis Center, OH; grandfather of Andrew and Anna Peura and Marcella and Angela Puglia; brother of Joe (Mary) Puglia of Tucson, AZ, Frank Puglia of Fresno, CA, and Paul (Dale) Puglia of Gansevoort, NY. and brother-in-law of Walter (Dolores) Zimmerman of Sarver, PA and many nieces and nephews still survive.  Carl was a veteran of the Army and Air Force National Guard. He was a Lab Supervisor at Sewickley Valley Hospital, a member of St. James Church and its 55 + Club, The Knights of Columbus, the Baden American Legion and the PA State Grange and enjoyed gardening. Viewing Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. where prayers of transfer will be said on Saturday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, Sewickley at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Sewickley Cemetery with military honors accorded.
