Brian Duane Johnson, of Moon Township, went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2020. He was 44 years old. Born in Pittsburgh on October 25, 1975, he was one of two sons born to Bruce Duane and Margery Johnson. In his early years, Brian was very active in scouting and earned the Eagle rank with three palms. This fostered his love of nature and his enjoyment of hiking, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed golfing with his father, and traveling or just hanging out with his family. Brian was a good friend to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Brian will be lovingly remembered by his brother Craig Karl Johnson, niece and nephew Ashlyn Rae Johnson and Owen Karl Johnson, uncle Ken Ritter (Jana), cousins Kristopher and Tracy, uncle Ted Johnson (Bonnie), cousins Ted, Jr. and Fred, and his beloved dog Harley.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 11 from 3-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave, where service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery, Castle Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory may be made to a pet rescue organization; The Foster Farm, Emily Zadjura, 7324 Schley Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15218 (PayPal.me/TFFARVenmo.com/TheFosterFarm) or St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research.
