Beverly Ann (Rees) Netzel

Beverly Ann (Rees) Netzel, age 81, a Scott Township resident for 59 years, formerly of Coraopolis, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Born in Coraopolis on February 7, 1937 to the late Joseph F. and Naomi Rees. Beloved wife for 59 years to John W. Netzel; loving mother of Jeffrey Troy Netzel of Beaver and Todd (Kristi) Netzel of North Fayette; cherished grandmother of Ramsey and Ella; sister of Troy (Mary) Rees of Sharpsburg. Beverly had been secretary for NVR/Ryan Homes. Beverly was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis where she served as Deacon and helped in the office. Beverly personified the old fashion vision of the church where all members helped in every area of the church. She, along with other members, care for the maintenance, hence the Lawn Rangers came to exist and care lovingly for the outside. Beverly’s life was devoted to handicap children and their needs. By rights, she was an activist before her time. She loved to walk and made the best ice-tea in the world. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 8;67 Fifth Ave. Everyone please meet at the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, 1201 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108, on Saturday at 11 AM for her funeral service. Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to her church.
