Beverly A. Jovanelly, 88, a resident of Moon Township since 1967, passed away on Saturday, February 3rd at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Beverly was born on February 24, 1935, in Philipsburg, PA to Forrest and Anna Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack, and her siblings, Forrest Morgan, Jr., Gladus Wawrynovil, and Harold Morgan. She worked for a time in security at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport and in the cafeteria at J.A. Allard Elementary School where she always made sure the kids who “played ball” for Jack got a little extra on their plate. A proud homemaker, Bev made her family, friends and anyone who came into her home feel comforted and cared for. She was the all-American mom who made sure to keep those around her well fed and well loved. Beverly is survived by her son, Dr. Gregory Jovanelly, his wife Carol, and the three grandchildren that were the pride of her life, Gianna, Dominic, and Sofia.
Beverly’s life will be celebrated with a mass of Christian burial on Friday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon Township followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Hopewell Township. In lieu of flowers, Beverly requested donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Inc., Moon Township.
