Betty S. (Schneider) Lawrence

Betty S. Lawrence, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Coraopolis on December 5, 1931, the last survivor of eight children to the late Henry G. and Sophia Lena (Boll) Schneider. On May 12, 2005, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lawrence. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two children Barbara Lynn and Baby boy; her sisters Shirley Waite and Gertrude Conner; her five brothers Frederick, Donald, Lewis, Herman and Raithel Schneider. Betty was raised in Coraopolis and graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1950. She attended Business School at Robert Morris and Point Park College. She retired in 1989 after working 36 years as a secretary for Shenango Inc. She was a member of Shenango Retirees and Zion Lutheran Church. Betty was a resident of Kennedy Township since 1967. Betty is well-loved by two nieces and two nephews. A graveside service will be held at Coraopolis Cemetery on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 1 PM.
