Barbara Ann (Shipley) Hartman, 78, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born to the late La Verne Shipley-Schwartz and William Shipley, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and love for family touched everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, David Van Hartman, Sr.

Barbara is survived by her loving children: David Van Hartman, Jr. (Kelly), Deann Anundson, and Jennifer Eisengart (Al).

She was the proud grandmother of Jacob Hines (fiancée Ari Lerner), Donald McWreath (Helena), Darby Anundson (boyfriend Lucas Imm), Casey Eisengart, Ashley Dixon (David), and Christopher Eisengart (Charlene). She was also the cherished great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren.

Barbara is also survived by her loving brothers, William Shipley (Mary Ann), Allan Shipley (Patricia), and Keith Shipley, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A graduate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School, Barbara furthered her education at Robert Morris University.

Barbara loved spending time with family and friends, especially bowling and cheering on her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams. She was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Pittsburgh Pirates. She also adored her beloved dogs, Storm and Princess, who brought her great joy and companionship.

She will be remembered for her warmth, caring heart, and deep devotion to her family. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
