Barbara Sue (Kramer) Yost

Yost, Barbara Sue, 67, a kinder soul you could not find, fought a valiant battle against cancer, and was peacefully taken to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Barbara was born in Sewickley on September 10, 1955, one of two daughters  born to John C. Kramer and the late Betty J. (Baker) Kramer.  Beloved daughter of John C. Kramer; loving companion for 17 years of Anthony Volante; cherished sister of Kathy and Scott Vogt; devoted aunt to Amanda (Deborah),  Christopher, Matthew, Jeffrey (Krista) and Rebecca; proud great aunt to 6 nieces and nephews. Barb was a life-long resident of Sewickley and a 1973 graduate of Quaker Valley High School. She had worked for both Matthews Printing and Eger Eye Group. Barb was loving and caring toward people and animals. She was always willing to help whoever she could. A free spirit of sorts, she had a sparkly personality and loved her tie-dye apparel. Her smile and enthusiasm could light up a room. She had a strong inner strength. Barb will be greatly missed by family, friends, furry friends, and friends made at Shadyside Hospital. A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 11 AM until 12 Noon at Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to an Animal Rescue of your choice. The Kramer family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Shadyside Hospital especially the 6th  Floor for they kind and loving care during this past year.
