Barbara Jean Wilson, 56, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her home. She was born in Kennedy Township on January 21, 1967, one of five children to the late Jack and Emma (Buskey) Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Robin Michele Awad and her orange tabby cat, Sheba. Barb was a Cornell High School Graduate, class of 1986, where she had played softball. After graduation, she became a caregiver, working at Verland and Sycamore Creek where she obtained her Certification as a Nurse’s Aide. She continued at Caring Heights where she was well-loved by all her co-worker friends as well as her clients. Barb, the life of the party, loved Rhythm and Blues and always moving to music. Known to have a Long Island Iced Tea or two at the Jailhouse, she would join her friends and of course enjoyed playing her poker machine. Barb is survived by her sister and brothers Jack Wallace Wilson, Beth Ann Pendel and her husband Arthur Wiley, and William Allen Wilson; many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; her best and dearest friends Dawn, Lorrie and Teresa; and niece Jennifer- where she would see Jenny, you would see Barb, her best buddy to hang with, whether it was shopping or going out to eat; and good friend and co-worker Randy. Visitation Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 1-6 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where friends and family will share memories.
