Barbara Ann (Dye) Thompkins

Barbara Ann (Dye) Thompkins, affectionally known as "Aunt Barb" and "Barbsie", 78, a Coraopolis resident most of her life, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. Barbara was born on April 13, 1941 in Allegheny County at Sewickley Valley Hospital.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Viola “Vi” (Dye) and Robert Johnson. Barbara’s life was filled with love and kindness by her devoted aunts, uncles and cousins (Buntin/Dye). Barbara retired as a clerk from the City of Pittsburgh. Previously, Barbara spent time in New Jersey working for McMillian Publishing.  Barbara had a deep interest in the Arts, especially theater and designing sets and props. Barbara enjoyed traveling and was an excellent seamstress who dabbled in cooking. Remember her famous spaghetti sauce. Visitation Sunday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Monday at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery.
