Barbara (Capponi) Ross

Barbara Ross; Age 61, originally from North Syracuse, NY, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024. Beloved wife of 40 years to David L. Ross. Cherished mother of Joshua Ross (Shoshana) and Sarah Ross (Teresa). Daughter of Peter Capponi, II and Mary Catherine Capponi (Drzewiecki). Sister of Peter Capponi, III. Grandmother of Aviva. Loving aunt to Peter Capponi, IV, Kayla Goewey (Capponi), and BethEl Nager. She also held the special role of being Kayla's Godmother.

Barbara was a 1980 graduate of North Syracuse High School. She furthered her education at Maria Regina College, graduating in 1982 and Morrisville College, graduating in 1983. Recently retired, Barbara dedicated many years to the Moon Area School District, where she made a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.

Barbara’s warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on through her family and friends.

Friends and family will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp on Thursday evening from 5 - 8 pm. A future Mass and burial will take place in North Syracuse, NY.
