Barbara J. Maloney

Barbara (Drain) Maloney, 74, of Moon Township, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Barbara was born on December 16, 1945 in Pittsburgh, one of three daughters to the late Andrew and Julia (Martellotto) Drain. Beloved wife for 53 years to Edward Maloney; loving mother of Michelle Maloney (Darrell Scislo), Christine Maloney, Charlene Maloney-Vescio (Robert Vescio) and the late Annalee Winter; proud grandmother of Michael P., Shane, Michael D., Andrew, Alexander “Xander”, Julianna and Katelyn; sister of Andreene Witt (the late Robert) of Harriman, TN and Nancy Smitsky (Carl) of Hickory, PA. Barbara was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and a former Girl Scout Leader. She had a career in banking with Lincoln Savings, PNC Bank, Dollar Bank and Bayer Credit Union.  Barbara devoted her life to her most precious joys, her husband, children and grandchildren. She welcomed family, friends and strangers with open arms and heart. She also took great pleasure in painting ceramics and gifting them to loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her adoring family and her many friends. Visitation Thursday 6-8 PM and Friday 2-4, 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Saturday at 9 AM followed by Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
