Barbara J. (Lottes) Kramer, 75, a Moon Township resident for the past 40 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born in Sewickley on January 19, 1949, one of three children to the late Russell and Helen (Heaton) Lottes. Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Moon Area High School. In 1970, she graduated with her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Edinboro University. For over 35 years, she was employed by West Allegheny School District as an elementary teacher and was loved by her students. Barbara was an avid reader. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crewel and crocheting. She would always gift family and friends, birth pillows as well as those homemade blankets. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Alex Kramer; and her sister Cheryl Snatchko and her brother William Lottes; along with many nephews, nieces and friends and all the students whose lives she touched. Visitation will be on Friday (9-27) from 3-8 PM and Saturday (9-28) at 9:30 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. A private entombment will be held at Coraopolis Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations if desired to the American Cancer Society.
