Barbara D. Dotter

Barbara D. Dotter, age 92, of the Masonic Village of Sewickley, died on Thursday, May 2, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Joseph Fries and Helen Werbaneth on November 30, 1931. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Dotter. She was the loving mother of Jane Dotter of Moon Township; dear grandmother of Dylan and Dane Schneider, both of Moon Township. D. graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 1953 with her Registered Nurse degree. She worked at St. Clair Hospital, a local nursing home and then a home care agency before opening her own 8 bed personal care home in Moon Township. The next 53 years were spent helping older adults and their families with additional homes and services. D. also felt called to help other women in business, so the Women in Business Network (WBN) was started some 30 years ago and continues today. A "Celebration of D. Dotter’s Life" is planned for Sunday, June 2nd, in an Open House 1:00-5:00 pm at Jane’s home, 113 Hayeswold Dr., Moon Twp., 15108.
