Arlene J. Scott

Arlene Janet Marie Scott (Cullen), 83, formerly of Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023, at her current residence, Apple Blossom Senior Living, Moon Township, Pennsylvania. She was born on January 26, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years at the time of his passing, Duane Elbert Scott, Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by her parents Arthur Vincent Cullen and Sadie Alice Cullen (Matters) and her sister, Sandra Lee Eichenlaub, Beaver, Pennsylvania. Surviving are her son Duane Elbert Scott, Jr. (Rachel), La Vernia, Texas and her daughter Linda Marie Gaglia (Jaime), Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Amanda Lyn Acevedo (Scott), Tampa, Florida, Tiffany Kristine Gaglia, Ft. Myers, Florida, and Christian Scott Gaglia, Moon Township, Pennsylvania and great grandchildren Luis, Arianna, and Italy of Tampa, Florida. Cousins, nieces, and nephews are also surviving.
Arlene attended West View High School, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she worked as a car hop and for a drugstore. She worked for a dental office and at Springer’s drugstore in Beaver, Pennsylvania. She worked in the office at Freese’s Department Store and Dow Lane Elementary School as a visual aid in Bangor, Maine. She also did Volunteer work for heart and cancer funds.
Arlene was an amateur ham radio operator licensed for over 30 years with the call sign W3DKJ. She enjoyed needlepoint and making beautiful, crocheted items. She and her husband were avid collectors of glassware and pottery. Arlene loved music, dancing, having fun, her family, and friends. She was a member of St. James Church – Divine Redeemer Parish, Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
Private Arrangements entrusted to R.D. Copeland, Ltd., Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
Interment will be at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
