Annie J. Kleynjans

Annie J. Kleynjans, 73, passed away on August 19, 2026 surrounded with love from her family.  While her family mourns the loss of a remarkable woman, they also celebrate a life defined by love, sacrifice, family, and countless memories that will never be forgotten.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Annie immigrated to the United States in 1979 and began a new chapter of her life in Moon Township with her husband, Jos. They worked hard to build a successful business and a life they could be proud of. After retiring in 2005, Annie's greatest investment was no longer in a business—it was in her family.

Annie was the person who was always making sure everyone else was okay. She gave without being asked. She worried about everyone before worrying about herself. She made sure people were fed, comfortable, cared for, and that they never left without knowing they were loved. Her family was her purpose.

But perhaps her greatest happiness came from being a grandmother. Annie adored her ten grandchildren. She cherished every minute she could spend with them, and if they were getting ready to leave, Annie was rarely ready to let them go. There was always another snack, piece of candy, or an invitation for ice cream—anything that might convince them to stay just a little longer.

Those moments may have seemed small at the time, but they weren't. They were Annie's way of saying, “I love you. Stay with me a little longer.” And whenever she said goodbye to her grandchildren, there was one thing they could always count on hearing: “I love you to the moon and back.”

Those words were more than something Annie said. They were a reflection of the love she carried for each of them—a love that was bigger than words could ever fully express. Her grandchildren will carry those words with them for the rest of their lives.

Annie is survived by her husband and lifelong partner, Jos; her children, Brian (Melissa), Vivian (Erica), and Misha (Allie); and her beloved grandchildren, Xavier, Elliot, Brody, Cruz, Mia, Jude, Jett, Ethan, Maddox, and Owen.

The greatest measure of Annie's life was not what she accomplished, but the love she left behind. She gave her family and friends a lifetime of memories, a lifetime of caring, and a love that will continue long after her passing.

Although her chair may now be empty and her voice may be quiet, the love Annie gave to her family will remain.

Every time her grandchildren look toward the moon, they will be reminded of the woman who loved them more than they could ever know. “We love you to the moon and back.”

Friends received on Friday 4 – 8 pm at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township where a Funeral Prayer will be held on Saturday at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Township at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.  The family suggest donations in Annies’ name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
