Anna Thomas (Trunzo) Cunsolo; Age 97 of Moon Twp passed away at home on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Falerna, Italy on February 16, 1929, Ann was the daughter of the late Dionigi and Filomena (Maruca) Trunzo. Beloved wife of 69 years to the late Pietro Cunsolo who preceded her in death in 2022. Cherished mother of Nancy Souilliard, Joseph Cunsolo (Linda Doyle Cunsolo) and Lori Cunsolo-Borg (Ulf Borg). Sister of the late Angie Perri and Jean Notaro. Grandmother of Stefanie Zalucky-Luzader, Amanda Paladino, Kevin Souilliard and Sabrina Borg. Great-grandmother of Emma, Zack, Zoe, Lexi and Cullen.
Our mother will be deeply missed by her family and friends. To her children, she was an amazing mother who always encouraged us to be our best and do our best. She instilled in us the value of hard work and the importance of loving and caring for our families. Her love of Christ and devotion to Mary were a cherished part of who she was and something we all knew and loved about her.
Mom always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and a warm welcome to all who entered her home. It did not matter when you came to visit—food and coffee were always ready. If she had a choice, no one ever left hungry. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, especially during Christmas and Easter, when she worked hard to make every holiday special.
Sunday dinner with the family was a requirement, and there were always leftovers—or room for one or two more people to join in. Her love for her family was unconditional, and she was always willing to listen to whatever story you had to tell. Mom had a deep love for her children and grandchildren and would always drop whatever she was doing to help whenever one of them had a need.
Her laugh was magical and often filled the room, and she had a wonderful, mischievous sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. Mom also had a love of travel and enjoyed spending winters in Florida, her happy place enjoying the fun in the sun during the winter months.
Summers were spent growing beautiful flowers and tending to an amazing garden. Caring for friends, family and especially Gemma her dearest friend.
To her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, 97 years was not enough. Her guiding wisdom, love, and laughter will be deeply missed.
Friends and family will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 5th Avenue, Coraopolis on Monday, June 29th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 30th at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 11 am. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
