Anna Mae “Becky” (Popps) Berardi, 91, a Coraopolis resident most of her life, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at UPMC Passavant. Born in Pittsburgh on January 10, 1929, she was the last surviving child of eight to the late Elmer and Dorothy (Pleskina) Popps. On July 10, 2013, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Angelo Berardi. Anna Mae and Angelo traveled all over the world and loved to spend time at their second home in Maderia Beach, Florida. Anna Mae was a former member of St. Joseph Church and a retired secretary from American Bridge. Anna’s hobbies including teaching ceramics. In addition to her husband and parents, as mentioned, she was preceded in death by her siblings Florence Gormley, Irene Painter, Dolores Unis, Joseph, Edward, Raymond, and Leonard Popps. Aunt Becky is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A private family memorial visitation will be held at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 from 12 Noon until time of Blessing Service at 1 PM. She will then join her husband at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Committal Service at 2:30 PM. Family suggests donations in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center.
