Ann Marie Abitabilo, 60, of Cincinnati,OH, formerly of Port Washington, NY, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Ann Marie was born in Little Neck, NY on October 10, 1960. Beloved daughter of Neil Robert “Bob” and Anna "Ann" (Valenzano) Abitabilo; cherished sister of Joanne Abitabilo (Dave Munday) and Teresa Gallagher (Daniel); loving aunt of Victor Abitabilo and Michael Gallagher and dedicated caregiver to cats Tyler and Bodhe. Ann graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She provided care and comfort for 40 years at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and was on the front line during the COVID crisis. Ann was also a board certified Holistic Nurse, a Tai Chi Easy (TM) Leader, Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach as well as a hospice volunteer. One of Ann's great joys was traveling the globe and connecting with others on a one-to-one basis. Her many photo albums reflect her curiosity, empathy and sense of fun. She was also an avid reader, a passion that began with reading Nancy Drew mysteries when she was a child. Ann was kind, giving and compassionate and will be missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate this wonderful women’s life on Saturday, July 31 at 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1 Parish Pl, Moon Township, PA 15108.
