Angela (Gilberti) Fehl

Angela F. Fehl, “Angie,” age 85, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully at Concordia Franklin Park on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Harry J. Fehl; her parents, Fannie Rao Gilberti, Louis Gilberti, and John J. Lesovitch of Coraopolis; her siblings, Rosemarie Gilberti, Louis F. Gilberti, and John Lesovitch; and her brother-in-law, George Pessy. She is survived by her sister, Joan “Pinky” Pessy, sisters-in-law Felicia Gilberti and Joanne Lesovitch, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

Upon graduating from Coraopolis Junior/Senior High School, Angie worked for 34 years as a dedicated employee of Bell Telephone Company. She committed her life to loving her family and friends and supporting numerous causes. Her volunteer efforts included working in the St. Joseph’s School cafeteria, making phone calls for the Central Blood Bank, organizing her high school reunions, and serving as an officer in the local chapter of AARP and for St. Joseph’s Christian Mothers. Angie believed in the importance of supporting and serving others whenever she was able.

Angie loved spending time with her friends, whether it was taking trips with her Bell Telephone colleagues, participating in multiple bowling leagues, or attending “Sisters Lunch” with the ladies. She spent many years hosting her family for Christmas and summer cookouts, always making sure that her favorite snack—potato chips—was in abundance. During these gatherings, Angie enjoyed sharing funny stories about her childhood and what it was like to grow up as the middle child in a family of five.

Angie’s faith was always a priority for her, and she was proud to serve as godmother to her nephew Scott Gilberti and as confirmation sponsor for her nephew Mike Pessy.

A viewing will be held at Copeland Funeral Home in Coraopolis on Friday, January 3, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made by check to Concordia Franklin Park (memo: Activities Department), 1600 Georgetown Dr., Sewickley, PA 15143. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Concordia Franklin Park, where Angie resided for the last three years, and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice.
