Amy A. Finnegan, 52, of Moon Twp, after a brief disagreement with cancer, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Born in Aliquippa, PA on October 28, she was one of seven children of Ann (George) Nutter and the late James Nutter. Amy was a graduate of Moon Area High School Class of 1986 and Robert Morris College Class of 1994. She was employed with the Moon Area School District as the HR and Benefits Coordinator. She was active in the Western PA American Payroll Association and was a Certified Payroll Professional (CCP). Amy was also a former adult member of the Boy Scout Troop 905 of Moon Twp and an 11-year member of Corvettes of PA (Beaver County). She loved her family and Royal Caribbean cruises.
Along with her mother, she will be remembered and missed by her loving husband, Brian J. Finnegan; her beloved children, Sarah (Adam) Harring of Colorado Springs and Ryan Finnegan of PA; her siblings, Robin (Rob) Canei of WV, Jenny (Mike) Woodring of OH, Ed (Marcy) Nutter of OH, Paul (Lisa) Nutter of PA, Tim (Denise) Nutter of PA and Mark (Brooke) Nutter of OH; 20 nieces and nephews and her grand puppy, Zeus.
The family would like to thank all AHN nurses, doctors, and support staff of West Penn Hospital floors East 9 and Tower 4, especially Dr. Thomas Krivak, Dr. Stanislav Nosik, and CRNP Marah Hall of the Palliative Team as well as staff of the AHN Robinson Oncology Center, especially Dr. Jason Stepp and CRNP Katie Fisher.
Relatives and Friends will be received Wednesday May 5th and Thursday May 6th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Copeland’s 981 Brodhead Rd, Moon Twp. where morning prayers will be said at 9:30am on Friday, May 7th and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish (formerly St Margaret Mary Parish) One Parish Place, Moon Twp. Burial will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, Amy suggested a contribution to Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
