Alice (Daugherty) Quinn lived an amazing life, passing at the age of 95 on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at McMurray Hills Manor. She was born in Washington, PA on July 12, 1925, one of seven to the late Russell and Bertha (Tustin) Daugherty. She married the love of her life, Cecil H. Quinn on October 22, 1950. Cecil preceded her in death on August 28, 2015. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son John Barnes, her sisters Evelyn Daugherty, Agnes Donahue, Thelma Cain and brother Russell Daugherty. Alice is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law with whom she and her husband made their home, Mary Alice and George Knause of Neville Island; her cherished grandchildren Michael Dye, Adrianne (Chuck) Barnes, Missy and Rose Anne; loving sister Janey (the late Bob) Steele of Vancouver, WA and brother Harold Daugherty of Washington, PA; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alice lived with her husband in Hollywood, FL until she came home in November of 2007 to her daughter’s home on Neville Island. Alice, a waitress, helped open the old Greater Pittsburgh Airport restaurant. She also worked at the Dog House in Florida. She will be missed for her kindness and gentle nature. Visitation Thursday (Sept. 24) from 2 PM until time of service at 4 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Burial will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
